Problem with direct add welcome letter #addmembers

The auto welcome letter in the direct add functioin for my group called radiantrecoverycommunity adds "g" in the link. The link then displays "this group does not exist" and I cannot change it.

What to do? ?Sample below

Did you change the name of your group from radiantrecovery to radiantrecoverycommunity at some point? Even though the text says " radiantrecoverycommunity" the underlying link has just radiantrecovery. The "g" isn't the problem. The problem is that the name of the group is different than the URL in the link. I don't know what caused this particular mismatch, but people have had similar problems when the create a group with one name and then change it. The new name doesn't automagically alter the various Member Notices. You have to do that by hand.

Kathleen,

The /g is fine, it's how groups links are formulated on groups.io. ?The problem is in the link itself, not on the link text; for both of the?links from your OP email, hover your mouse over each look at the bottom left of your browser, and you'll see that while the link text has the full correct text, the underlying link itself is missing the?community part. ?Edit the notice, edit the links, and replace the missing text.

Cheers,
Christos

The 'g' isn't the problem.? The link goes to radiantrecovery, a non-existent group, even though it says radiantrecoverycommunity.? The link needs to be fixed in the Direct Add notice.

The "g" is normal. Ignore it!
There is a problem with your URLs - there is no community in it. Run your mouse over it and you will see it has been left out.
You can edit your welcome letter. You obviously have done so already, but you can again, in Admin, Settings, Member Notices. Be sure to save.
