When I send test message from an *unmoderated* group member to [our mailing list], it goes through. What do you mean by "bounce"? I mean, what happens? When you check the group's activity log (left column, Admin, Activity), does it say anything about that message at all? You can also search for a specific e-mail address in the Activity log to see what has been happening to it recently. Samuel |
I am just beginning with Groups.io. ?Will be migrating a Yahoo Group ASAP.
The messages do show in the activities ;go. ?here¡¯s one: ?? Member?Paul Spielman@DNE <PaulSpielman@...>?attempted to send message "Test from a moderated address" to an announcement group via email This member¡¯s posting privileges are set as?Override: moderated. ?I was expecting to get an email at my moderator address asking if the post should go thru. ?I got no such message and the member got: ? Delivery status notification: Failure? I had another test where the member¡¯s posting prividges are set:?Use Group Moderation Setting ?and the Same sort of message arrived in their email This must be where the issue lies. My groups Spam settings are: Restricted Membership: ?ON Announcement Group: ?ON Moderation: ALL MESSAGES MODERATED New User Moderated ?ON I thought this would give me the funtionality I wanted, but it¡¯s not. Functionality I want: all messages to require moderation except for people I marked as unmoderated. ?When a member marked as ?Group Moderation Setting ?attempts a post, I want the moderators to get an email and then any one of them can approve the post and it goes thru. Mod's note: attachment? (error messages says blob!) removed. |
