Is there a way to lock up the Member Notices feature?
I made a new one but it does not show up in the list. For some reason as a Moderator on two different Group sites, one works, the other does not.? I've compared settings and was wondering if that was owner controlled. Thanks, Peter [Excessive sig line trimmed by Moderator] |

There's a list of them at /g/GroupManagersForum/wiki/Promotion%2C-Status-or-Permissions-Change-to-Moderator-or-Owner Duane -- GMF's Wiki: /g/GroupManagersForum/wiki Help: /static/help Search button at the top of Messages list A few site FAQs: /static/pricing#frequently-asked-questions |

Is there a way to lock up the Member Notices feature? If by "the list" you mean the drop-down list that you see while you create a new notice, that list is dynamic. For example, you can only have one "Guidelines" notice at a time, so after you've created one Guidelines notice, the option "Group Guidelines" disappears from the list where you create a *new* notice. If you already have a "Group Guidelines" notice and you a "new" one, well, then you can't -- you'll have to edit the exising one. [I'm not sure if the options available on that drop-down list also changes if you change some of your group's other settings. I can imagine it might be so, or not... for example, in my test group, which is a non-premium group, I can still add a "Locked Group" and a "Direct Add" notice, even though both of those are premium features.] Samuel |

Just a simple ¡°Note to Member¡±.?Peter -- Member Notices of type "Note to Member," "Invite" and "Direct Add" do not need to be activated. You select the one you want to go out at the time you send it. You can have multiple notices of the other types, too, but only one of each type can be made Active, so groups.io knows which one to send. As for being listed, be sure you give each notice a unique Name. If you save a Member Notice under the same Name as an existing one it will be overwritten. Hope this helps, Bruce |

Just a simple ¡°Note to Member¡±.?I just tested adding another note to member and I had no problem. Sent one of the notes to a member. Received. Notes to Member don't get the blue Active label beside them, because they aren't sent automatically. Are you scrolling down and saving by clicking on Add Notice? Some people overlook this! As far as Note to Member, you can test sending one by going to Admin, Member, and picking a member. (Even yourself!) Click on the member, scroll to the bottom, and click on Send Message. Below the message block, there is a dropdown menu of available notices. Pick the one you want. (You could also just type a new message.) Or you add to or edit the one you have selected, perhaps to personalize it. Click to BCC yourself. (Or all moderators.) Click on Send to Member.?
