Yahoo transfer 1 question #transfer #yahoo

We have created a GIO group with a subgroup. Then we initiated an Easy Yahoo Transfer of messages to the subgroup, adding [email protected]?as a Yahoo member, now waiting an an acceptance which can take a week. In the meantime we deleted the subgroup. When the EYT goes ahead will it transfer messages to the main and only group store, or do we have to inform someone of the new destination?

Thank you
Eshin

So you deleted the destination (a subgroup) for your transfer.

Have you already transferred from YG to the main group on Groups.io? In other words, are you transferring two groups into one group?

You are supposed to transfer into your main group on Groups.io and THEN, if it makes sense to you, you transfer another YG into your subgroup.

I suggest you figure out where you are in the process.?
See #8 How do I check the transfer status?

Once you know, why don't you reply to this thread? Give us the step number, if you have got that far. Or perhaps take a screenshot for us.

No, it will not.

As long as you haven't yet given the go-ahead, you can change the destination yourself.?

Go to the transfer page at?/yahootransfer and click open the transfer you're working on. On the resulting "edit transfer" page, pull down the "Groups.io Group" menu and change your destination to the main group. Having done that, click the blue Update Transfer button and you'll be set.
