Hashtags - topic duration
#hashtags
I tested using a time limiter on hashtags.?I set the hashtag for 1 hour.?
I set the duration in the edit hashtag area. The instruction is: When set, tagged topics will automatically be deleted or locked after the specified time period. I assigned it to existing messages and also wrote new test messages and assigned the hashtag.?But the tagged topics are not deleted nor locked. Anyone try this? Or does it only happen overnight, in spite of the 1 hour info in the interface? It's one or the other, depending on the checkbox.? Anyone try this? Or does it only happen overnight, in spite of the 1 hour info in the interface?Shorter durations tend to be more problematical. If the servers checked minute by minute to see if every hashtag in the groups.io service has timed out, there would be no resources left to do anything else. Give it some time...if set up correctly, it should eventually happen.? Bruce |

If so, it could take between 1 and 2 hours to actually lock/delete, depending on how recently the last job had run when you edited/created those topics. I could be totally wrong, but that's my guess. Well, it happened overnight. The threads that were hashtagged with a duration of 1 hour have disappeared from the archive. Thanks!

Both the lock and delete occurred just after 11pm PST.? I had done a delete test back in October that was deleted after 1:09 (though I could see it being up to almost 2 hours, depending on how often the job runs), so something has changed.? I'll contact support to report the bug.
