I have looked through the Help section, but cannot find an answer. ?I had a pending member that appears to have been deleted by groups.io today after about two weeks. ?Actually I was about to delete that person anyway because I had gotten no response from my private email to that pending member. ?But it appears the groups.io allows two weeks and then automatically deletes the pending member if no further action is taken. ?Is that correct?

Yes, pending members are automatically deleted after 14 days unless some one "Claims" the subscription.? See /g/GroupManagersForum/wiki/Screening-New-Members-Using-the-Pending-Subscription-Notice

Yes, and the email notification sent to the relevant group owner & moderators states as much.
