banning a member from ever joining a groups.io list

Hello to all. Is there a way to ban an email address from ever joining a list? If for example I know that x causes trouble is there a way to ban all of their email address and they just get rejected post haste? I tried looking in the admin area but I either missed it or the option does not yet exist.

Thanks to all, and have a blessed Sunday.

Sarah,

Is there a way to ban an email address from ever joining a list?
Go to the Members list, and then use the Members tab (button across the top) to select "Banned".

Below the list of banned email addresses is an entry box for you to add an address to the banned list. There you can enter an address that isn't currently a member of the group.

If for example I know that x causes trouble is there a way to ban all
of their email address and they just get rejected post haste?
You would have to know and enter each of their email addresses. There's no facility to ban a "person" or "account" and have it automatically ban all of their email addresses.

Thanks. I will do this. I did not think to look in the members area. Still very much new here.

Take care all.

Hey, thanks for giving me the steps. I had to play with it a bit as the site looks a bit different with safari and voiceover, but again thanks so much. All is taken care of.

Blessings and happy Wednesday

Hi,
? My question is related to this - but not "spot on".

? What happens to Banned Members of a yahoo group during the transfer?
Do they get transferred over and stay banned?? Do they just get dropped
(not transferred)?

Banned members are not members by definition so will not be
transferred. As far as I am aware the list of banned users is ignored
during the transfer.

Hi I think if they are banded from your yahoo group, you will get a confirmation saying if you are sure you want to band this member. You say yes and that it is. They will not move on with the group. They are dropped.
