My list is set to no attachments but someone just posted a message from a spoofed address that included a pdf.

How does this happen?

Was the file actually attached to the email, or was it via a web link? Many
email clients will display the latter as the former.

Sharon,

How do you?set your Groups.io group to no attachments?? I don't see that option under settings, and it looks like the default (only?) option is to allow attachments.,

I'm just beginning the transition of a 750-member group from Yahoo Groups to Groups.io and am trying to understand attachment options.? Our group has many yachts at? sea or in locations where bandwidth is severely limited, so a no-attachment policy (as we have on YG) is what we need.

Any suggestions welcome!

Thanks,

Milt

Go to the Settings page for your group.? Scroll down to the Message Formatting area.? In the Attachments selection, you can choose Allow, Bounce, or Strip.? For minimal interference, you could choose Strip so the message would go through without the attachment.

Do the following:

Click on Settings
Then scroll down to Message Formatting
Under Attachments select Strip
Scroll down and click on Update Group button

Attachments will then be stripped from e-mails.

Great, many thanks Jean?and Duane.

After close to 10 years of moderating a big Yahoo group, Groups.io is gonna be a real pleasure.? After getting over the transition!? ;-)(
