I've been manually creating new groups within Groups.io as part of a transition from Yahoo! Groups.

I have around 50 Groups in Yahoo! I've managed to create 20 groups within Groups.io, however I don't seem to be able to go beyond this. Is there a cap on how many Groups.io an individual can create?

Steven -- This has been reported before (/g/GroupManagersForum/message/19217).?I can only assume that after some period of time, he was able to resume creating new groups...otherwise we'd probably still be hearing about it.

Please let us know what you find out so we can close the loop this time.

There's a topic on beta about this, though I haven't found an announcement of when it was implemented, ? I'd suggest contacting support, but they may be a bit slow to respond right now.? As a work around, you could create more groups using another email address, but I understand how that could get confusing.

I gave it another shot, and on 11 Nov 2019 I could create additional groups. Whether Group.io changed it as a result of an email I sent to?[email protected]?on 10 Nov 2019 I don't know.

An update. On 11 Nov 2019, I was able to add an additional 19 groups.

I suspect that it should've been 20, because the 1st group I created, after being capped at 20 on 9 Nov 2019, was a test group, which I subsequently deleted when I realised I could now add more. So I'm guessing that deleted group counted towards my additional quota of 20.

Perhaps it's a limit of 20 created groups per 48 hour period???

I have just 6 more to go then I'm done, so hopefully by 13 Nov 2019 I'll be able to add these last 6.

Too late now, but you could have just renamed it to one of the groups you need, /g/GroupManagersForum/wiki/Renaming-a-Group

I think you'll need to contact support again, especially if you didn't specify how many more groups you needed the first time.? If you could wait 48 hours though, it would give us additional information that could be included in the Wiki.
