Trouble navigating to polls?

Hi all,

I am encountering difficulties regarding? direct access to an active poll. This has been happening both as a member in other groups I am a member of, and in the group I am the owner of. I do understand how things are supposed to work, but there seems to be variations on the theme.

When I've received (as a group member) emails containing a poll, I understand that one should click on the "Vote Now" link in the post. When that's done, sometimes it goes directly to the poll; other times it goes to the group homepage. From there I know that yes, one can click on the recent hashtag on the homepage, or the Hashtags link in the main menu. However, this still is causing chaos, because the hashtag link goes to the message TOPIC, not the actual message of the poll (which is where we need to be of course). One then needs to scroll the bottom (first post) or reverse the date sort so that the first post (containing the poll) is at the top of the page.

The only link that seems to be direct without fail is the link in the email Groups.io footer that says "View/Reply Online (#messagenumber). I've had to wait for the message to be sent and get the message number, then post again with this number to get people to the poll (among other things...)

Trying to coach members (either as an owner or as in terms of helping fellow members in other groups) is almost hopeless, given all of this.

What am I doing wrong? Help?

Thanks,

Ginny

I am running my first poll and members are reporting similar problems. ?When they report problems to me, I tell them how I do it (click on the vote button in the email) but it doesn't work the same for them. ?Some gave up. ?Thankfully the poll is ending Sunday.

Not sure if this helps but there is a button in the messages view selector. Just discovered this earlier this week. ?Odd place(?) for it to be but it is there.

When you click it goes to a page that contains all the polls:

A link could be posted in the wiki.

Ah - thanks, Lee. Now I can add a fourth way to get there (I'm not being snarky) - hopefully my peeps will get there one way or the other.

Overall it does seem to be a bit convoluted, which surprises me (I'm not complaining, believe me).
