More precisely, administrators of large organizations like American Red Cross and State of North Carolina which use Microsoft Exchange or Microsoft Office 365 can set an option which prefixes the subject with with "[EXTERNAL]" when at least one of the addressees is outside the enterprise. This cautions other internal recipients to be careful what they write in a "Reply All" message. |
