This was in the Activity Log of my group all grayed out. Is this an example of Groups.io¡¯s antivirus protection?

?

Non-member rosalind@... attempted to send message "Hackers know password from your account. Password must be changed now." via email

?

You haven't provided quite enough information to draw that conclusion.

Is your group set up to allow non - members to post? If yes then your conclusion might be correct.

If no then it is simply what happens when a non - member tries to post.

Sorry about not being more specific. Non-members cannot post to group.

Actually, this entity tried three times before this post, each with a different post title.

Don,

I can't tell what you are trying to imply.

The message you reference appears to be a SPAM/phishing example.

There are settings in the Group Admin section for whether or not you want to Moderate or Block messages flagged as containing a virus.

And, of course, you have options for how non-member messages should be handled.
?
All I see is a message from a non-member being rejected. What is your concern?

As good a bit of evidence that it is spam or a phishing attack as you're likely to find. As it was from a non - member address, and you don't allow non - members to post its appearance in the Activity Log is entirely normal.

My concern? It wasn't a concern, as much as it was a question. I didn't know something like what I found in the Activity Log, would be displayed for me to see.
