Old YH Group Mis-Mapped to Wrong Groups.IO New Group #transfer #howto

I have 3 pretty important Yahoo groups that are in the Transfer que at aroung # 360 or so... in the meantime I think I am gonna go ahead and have my entire YH memberships make the manual migration over to GIO.

I did find the page where I can check the Que Status of my transfer,?/edittransfer?csrf=1406299935057669650&transfer=6735? but...

the Mapping is not correct.. it has one of my Yahoo goups Mapped to Transfer to the WRONG new Groups IO group.? ? ?the Toggle for "WHich Group to Transfer to" is greyed out or dead.

I sent [email protected]? email mentioining that 2 of my 3 group transfers are MIS-MAPPED... but NO REPLY From Support.. I just need to know IF SUPPORT GOT MY EMAIL?

I understand the Delay and Overwhelm.. but Not Replying GOT IT to an important SUPPORT HELP email causes one sleepless nights.? I will send it again.but.. how do I know Groups.IO got my urgent Support note.? Or how do I fit the Mis-Mapped Groups transfer request.??

I have little doubt that emails are turning up at support@?? faster than anyone can read them, and until they have been read it is impossible for support to assess how "important" any given email might be. I would expect that Groups.io personnel would welcome the chance to get a good night's sleep in the middle of all this frantic activity to get Yahoo groups migrated.

I think we all have to cut support more than a little slack in the hope that everyone's needs (or perceived needs) are accommodated without Mark's or anyone else's health being adversely affected.

I think it is possible to cancel (or delete) a transfer before it
takes place. I don't know the details of the process, but I've seen
other messages from people talking about stopping their transfer and
then starting again. So you could cancel the transfer with the
incorrect settings and then start another transfer with the correct
information. There may be other ways to deal with this issue, but that
is one option that you might consider.

Dale -- Correct...this field cannot be changed once you've given the go-ahead.

The best course of action is unclear, as I can't recall anyone reporting this problem before.

You could try waiting until the transfers are done and then rename the groups. But that carries its own issues, see?/g/GroupManagersForum/wiki/Renaming-a-Group? ?

And you can't just swap group names because names are frozen for a period of time before they can be reused...so you'd have to come up with new names.?

If you review the information on the referenced wiki page and the renaming option looks too problematical, I believe your only remaining option is to cancel the two affected transfers and start over from square one. Go back to the status page and look for a red button to that effect.

I'd like some clarification.? Is it one or two groups that are mis-mapped?? Or two of the three are okay, but the third is mapped to one of the first two?? I'm trying to think of a way that this might be corrected before the import is started.

My groups are not imported to groups.io yet, so I wanted to get the mapping from yahoo to groups.io corrected before they make a mess of it. ? There are 3 groups and they should all me 1-to-1 per group name, I sent this to support and no reply for days. ? I cannot Change the mapping myself.. the pull down toggle is greyed out. ?
