Do I wait for the Full Transfer from Yahoo or Have my Yahoo Members start joining Now

I have paid $330. for Groups.IO to transfer over 3 groups from Yahoo.? I was very fast on the request and got the new groups set up and transfers requested before 10/20.
Since some of the Yahoo functionality will start decreasing today, Oct 28, there is an urgency to know when the new Groups.IO will get transfered over. I have done ALL I CAN as a moderator:? Set up new Groups.IO here for my 3 groups, invited [email protected]?to be moderators of my 3 groups.? I have Given the GO AHEAD to make the transfer. One of my groups is 3300 members and they are chomping at the bit to start on this new platform.? Question: #1 - Should I go ahead and INVITE all my current Yahoo 3300 members to start joining the Groups.IO group? 2 - Why won't Groups.IO reply to my support email asking them this? 3 - When will Groups.IO get this transfer done?? ?(I cannot afford an extra $200 to expededite...) seems the $110 per group, before the 10/22 price change should have gotten this done by now.? ?Why don't they hire more help with all the extra money they ahve flowin inw now???? I feel their reputation is getting dinged as we speak due to the mis-mananagment of priorities..?? 4 -? If I have my Yahoo group members start to join now, before the Groups.IO official staff migration... what will happen to members on both lists?? Will the Groups.IO Admin Staff tranfer OVERWRITE any members so that they are not Entered twice?? Will the Transfer SKIP entering members who are already signed up at Groups.IO ??? Thanks for any help.??dale@... |

The downsides of doing so are negligible. 2 - Why won't Groups.IO reply to my support email asking them this?Under the circumstances, I suspect Mark can either do the work or talk about it, but not both. 3 - When will Groups.IO get this transfer done?? ?(I cannot afford an extra $200 to expededite...) seems the $110 per group, before the 10/22 price change should have gotten this done by now.? ?Why don't they hire more help with all the extra money they ahve flowin inw now???? I will assume the other questions here are rhetorical. 4 -? Will the Transfer SKIP entering members who are already signed up at Groups.IO ???Any existing members of the GIO group are skipped when the transfer is done, so their information here is not changed.? I think it also 'disconnects' them from the information they have on the YG, but not sure. I found the process to be pretty smooth after the invite to join the group was accepted. I bet things are pretty slammed with Yahoo's recent announcement declaring an end date for their groups. FWIW all my members transferred over without me having to invite anyone. They got an email and had a change to decline membership and some did. But it seems everyone came over and is able to post seamlessly. I am getting some process questions but it seems straightforward. On a positive note, it appears that many of my members are now actually going to the group site to look around. I think we had far fewer members doing that at the Yahoo group. My community has people of widely varying computer skills so this is a good outcome for me.
