File Attachements #files

Hi everyone
A concern has been raised that if we allow file attachments, we won't have a way of verifying that the files are not infected with any malware, etc.
Does anyone who allows file attachments on their groups have any experience with this? Is there a program we can use to scan files?
Thanks for any guidance.

groups.io checks messages for viruses. The group owner has an option to either Block messages flagged as containing a virus or just flag the post? as Moderated for further manual review.

Have had no file issue but the purpose of our groups.io is to keep our guild documents: minutes, membership, by-laws, show data, projects, etc.? These type of documents typically come from our officers or committee chairs or they send to me to post.? Most of our members are not tech savey so they rarely sign-on as they get the daily digests, etc.??
