I can close and re-open my browser and pick up where I left off on the Groups.io site without a problem.? I can only assume that you have something clearing your login cookie, either a browser setting or perhaps a private browser window perhaps? Regards Andy |

Bob, so you have no problem on your laptop. You do have a problem when you use your android phone.Bob wrote:No, I know I'm running standard Chrome up to date on my android phone cause when I.m on my laptop, I don't have the problem. The help says: ?
The login cookie expires in 30 days, but each visit to a group website extends the 30-day timeout period.
If you delete your browser cookies (or your security software deletes them), you will be logged out.
If your browser is set to delete cookies on exit, you will be logged out.
If your browser is set to Private Browsing, you must log in again.
?
Could you describe what happens when you use your phone? Ignore your laptop since you said it works fine there. You also said that you are using standard Chrome on your phone. Frances? ? -- Help available from Groups.io help and GMF wiki. ? |

See??for instructions from Google with respect to how to change your cookie settings. It's actually quite common for browser cookie settings to have a different default on a handheld device (phone or tablet). This keeps other people from gaining access to your accounts if you should lose it...with the understanding that desktop computers aren't so prone to being misplaced. Hope this helps, Bruce ? -- Check out the groups.io Help Center?and?groups.io Owners Manual |
Thanks everyone it probably is the login cookies I haven't no only updated my Google Chrome but it might have happened and I have rebooted my system a couple of times on the phone when I get a chance I'll look at it right now I have to put up with it because I've been horizontal for the last 2 months and just kind of a user of systems rather than a mover and shaker again thank you
