I belong to a number of online forums where you can "like" for "up vote" your own posts. Sometimes with rewards attached. Seems to be a nature of the beast and a technological challenge. Or maybe it's just intentional and set that way to punish people with a certain set of ethics.

Steve,

like their own posts?????!?

One thought was that it could be used as a kind of bookmarking capability to let one find particular messages more easily. Of course, this requires some tool for getting a list of the messages a) that you like, and/or b) that anyone likes. I've suggested that this ability be added to the Filter/Tools function when looking at the Topics, Messages, or Search results. Right now the only available filter is by date.

Absent any tools for finding out (other than by browsing) which messages have been liked it isn't immediately obvious to me why anyone cares who likes what.
