I am an owner of a group. When I tried to send a couple of invitations, I was never presented with the admin options, just the options for a non-owner member. I cannot send invitations. Six or eight hours ago it worked fine.

Look at the Home button at upper left. If it doesn't display a blue Owner badge, you aren't logged in using the email address that owns this group.
