A new member to our group somethi posted this message on one of subgroup message boards. It seems she tried RSVP to an event, but I can't figure out what she actually did, because her response is not recorded on the event and instead this message was posted. Can anyone she'd some light on what happened?

To actually RSVP, subscribers have to click the RSVP link (and possibly log in). It appears to me as if she replied to the invitation notice instead.?

That's the one scenario I didn't test. I'll go try that now to see what happens.?

I tried responding via the RSVP link and by adding the event to my personal calendar, but neither of these responses sent a message to our message board. I'd love to know how she did it.?

I'm also looking at RSVP use at the moment and I found that in the beta group in 2017 Mark Flecther posted this comment that may be of use:

One way to prevent responses to calendar reminders is to edit the #cal-reminder hashtag, which all reminders are tagged with. Check the 'Locked' option, and no one will be able to reply.
