开云体育Hi, ? An account profile gives you the option to share details either publicly, to members of groups you are in, or to owners and moderators only. ?Where/how would any information entered here be shared? ? The directory would seem the logical place to do this but entries show a profile picture, a name and an Email button only. ? Thanks, Andy ? ? |

Just checked and if I click on the photo of a member in Directory, you do see the profile the member wrote.?

I’ve found an interesting situation in that in my account profile, I specified some ‘Bio’ text, a location and a website. I can see that listed on the Account > Identity screen under Account Profile and the details are propagated for all other groups and subgroups that I either own or am a member of (except the GMF and beta groups where I removed the details). The profile privacy setting for each one is set to share with ‘other members of your groups’. ? However, when I look at the directory entry for a number of groups and subgroups, it only shows my name and date of joining.? On other groups, I see the profile as you described. ?I can’t see any relationship between those where I see the profile and those where I don’t. ? Andy |

The message in the grey box at the top probably explains this. There is an account profile and individual group profiles. The intent is that you can customize each group profile to discuss topics of interest to other members of the group. Hope this helps, Bruce? -- The system Help is your friend.??/static/help |

I failed to communicate. I want to get to the individual user profile in the group and limit it to just viewing by those group members. Things like address, phone, spouse name, personal preferences and/or bio.

Go to?/account?page=profile&profilesubid=0. The message in the grey box at the top probably explains this. Bruce, ? Yes, I know you can set the profiles for each group which is what I said I’ve done.? The issue is that details that I can see for some groups on page /account?page=viewprofile are then not displayed when I view the directory entries at the individual group level. ? Andy |
Thanks. Exactly what I needed.

Hello, if anyone can help:
I have the Member Directory option of the group that I am the owner of, under Settings, Privacy, Member List Visibility set to "Members". However, when my members look under the Directory all they see is the name of the person and their personal email address.? 1. How does a member hide their personal email address if they do not want it seen by other members? 2. How do I set it up so that their photo and bio details also show? But their personal email does not? many thanks in advance Christine |

Are you looking at the Directory, or the Member List? They are not the same thing.? The Directory is an index of Member profiles. Until each Member creates a profile and shares it, they shouldn't be able to see each other in the Directory at all. /g/GroupManagersForum/wiki/6114? 1. How does a member hide their personal email address if they do not want it seen by other members? Each profile must have a label of some kind.
2. How do I set it up so that their photo and bio details also show? But their personal email does not?As stated above, personal emails do not display for Members, only Owners and Moderators. Each Member has to create their own profile and share it. You cannot create a profile for them. Hope this helps, Bruce Check out the groups.io Help Center?and?groups.io Owners Manual |

开云体育Many thanks Duane. I now understand that?Member Directory and Member List are two separate things. I have also read through the link Bruce sent:I have set up a test member account with another of my email addresses so I can check the functionality.? As the owner, when I go to Settings, Privacy, and set the Member List to "Owners Only" (as I now understand this is totally separate to the Member Directory) then when I log in as a group member I do not get a menu option to see the Directory - even when I set the Profile Privacy to “other members of your group”.? When I log back in as the group owner and look back at the link above that Bruce sent - see the screenshot attached - green arrow says I should have an option as the group owner to go to group settings, under Privacy, see Member Directory, but I don’t have that I have only Member List Visibility under Privacy as group owner - see second screenshot. No option for Member Directory, only List.? So I am still stumped. Sorry if I’ve missed something obvious, but any other ideas? As you can see from the URL, this is for premium, enterprise as well as legacy enabled groups. Does this mean that there is no Directory option or choice available with new groups? This section of the Help says: Customizing settings for Premium and Enterprise features
Locating the feature settings
Note: The features listed here are available in Premium (trial or paid) and Enterprise groups. Most of them are also available in legacy Basic groups (those created before August 24, 2020). None of these features are available in new Basic groups created on or after August 24, 2020.
