FW: group.io dns name server issues

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

Mark and Shal,

?

For the past few weeks my ssv forum group has been plagued with Cox bouncing emails for several hundred of my forum members.? I¡¯ve spent several hours talking with Cox Tier2 data people and so far they have not been much help.? I¡¯ve had my members who are affected, and computer savvy enough, sending ¡®unblock¡¯ messages to? ¡®unblock.requests@...¡¯ but so far no real help. I¡¯ve had limited success with unsubscribing then resubscribing some of the members who are showing as ¡®bouncing¡¯, but with over 2,100 members that is taking a lot of my time and isn¡¯t totally effective in remedying the situation.

?

One of my SSV Forum members did get this message from Tier2 Elite Support and I¡¯m passing it on to you to see if you can be of any help to me.

Thanks for any input.

Harlan Steinle

Groups.io nameserver DNS issues with cox.net email accounts. This is NOT a cox issue. Cox is NOT blocking groups.io from working. This is a DNS issue with groups.io with the DNS nameserver. Based on what I¡¯m seeing the issue looks to be DNS related.? We require valid nameserver reverse query and that is failing.?

AIL: The following nameservers are listed at your nameservers as nameservers for your domain, but are not listed at the parent nameservers (see RFC2181 5.4.1). You need to make sure that these nameservers are working. If they are not working ok, you may have problems!
dns4.groups.io
dns3.groups.io
?
??????? Missing nameservers reported by parent
?
In regarde to this issue who ever is running the groups.IO for the living community needs to reach out to groups.io and have them update DNS so the nameservers resolve properly. Cox can not do this it is not a server owned by Cox we can not touch this. Cox is not blocking this groups.io needs to update the DNS nameserver

This looks very useful and may serve to finally fix this ongoing problem with cox.net!
?
Unfortunately, no one within groups.io support monitors GroupManagersForum. Please send this same message to [email protected] so that Mark Fletcher can take appropriate action.
?
Thanks!

Woo hoo! Indeed! I was able to verify most of the Cox statement (below) maybe 15 minutes ago, but upon doing more checking I found that changes were being made by Groups.io as I was looking (actually were made a bit earlier and just now propagating).

If all the issues Cox mentioned are fixed this should fix not only the problems with mail delivery to Cox, but also head off problems elsewhere.
