who gets Updates at Groups.io?

A neighbor wants to transfer her PTA Yahoo list to groups.io and wanted to know if all members of the group are automatically subscribed to [email protected].? I honestly don't know, because I'm an owner/moderator for most of my groups.?Am I subscribed because of that status?? Are ordinary subscribers also sent updates???

However, all messages posted there are tagged with a #changelog hashtag to keep them from being sent out as emails. In that sense, no one is ever "sent an update"...subscribers?must proactively go to the updates group and read them from the message archive. Those who still find this objectionable can always unsubscribe. Hope this helps, Bruce P.S. It also does not apply to email +subscription or Direct Add. /g/beta/message/5447 Am I subscribed because of that status?It doesn't have anything to do with one's status as owner or moderator of a group. It is default for people who sign up at Groups.io web site on their own, which you likely did before starting your group. Are ordinary subscribers also sent updates?I'm not quite sure what you mean, but the Updates group very rarely sends any messages to its members. Mark's weekly site update messages are posted there, but not sent out as email.
