Yahoo transfer after messages in new group

Hello, when transferring from yahoo groups, if you already have messages in your new group, will a transfer of messages from yahoo groups overwrite the messages already in the new groups.io group?

Thanks,
Robin

No, they will not be overwritten, and all date/timestamps are preserved.

The only possible "gotcha" is that the message numbers will be out of sequence. That is, if you already have messages numbered 1-100 in your GIO group, the first [i.e.: oldest] message transferred over from Yahoo will be message #101.

Hope this helps,
Bruce?

In practice, the message numbers will never match the yahoo sequence unless there were never any deleted emails on the yahoo group.
