OK.

It seems as though I misunderstood the group member who’s messages are not reaching the list.

She says she does not get an error message.

From what I’m seeing I think it is the fact that she has two similar email addresses and she is sending emails from the wrong one.

I’m considering unsubscribing her and having her begin at the beginning.

I’m still quite lost when I go online to the group’s info etc.

I have yet to find the adman section even after I log in.

I feel like a lot of the troubles folks are having with my group are due to my own lack of knowing what on earth I am doing.

LOL!

Hello:

I do not know if this has already been covered and I missed it or no.

But.

I have a group member who is receiving messages but when she replies to the list the message bounces back to her.

So, what should I do that I’ve not done.

I don’t have a copy of her error message.

If that helps let me know and I’ll have her send one to me.

Thanks.

If she wants to use two email addresses to post to the list, it's better for her to set up one as an alias.

Once you figure out which address is actually subscribed, have her log in (see /static/help#password), find the group online, and click on the Account menu at upper right. Scroll down and click on the bar labeled Advanced Settings for Email Aliases. Enter the second email address in the box and click on Add Email Alias.

This will allow her to POST from that secondary email address without any problems. All group email will still ARRIVE at the subscribed address, however.

Hope this helps,
Bruce

?She can confirm this for herself. At the bottom of every message she receives from the group there is a "footer" containing some useful? links. At the bottom of those, next to the unsubscribe link, is her subscribed ?email address. Normally that's the address she must post from.

I’m considering unsubscribing her and having her begin at the beginning.

?There are other solutions, which might be easier or better.?

1) she can change her email address, if she'd rather receive messages at the other one.

2) she can make an "alias" that allows her to post from the other one while still receiving group messages at the one she is now.

I’m still quite lost when I go online to the group’s info etc.

?The vertical column of buttons on the left of the group's web pages includes one named Admin, and it opens up to show buttons for the administrative pages of your group. If you're logged in, and visiting your group's pages, and you still do not find the Admin button, that likely means that you've logged in using an email address that is different from the one which owns the group.

I began the group.

Doesn’t that make me the group owner?

I only have one moderator and I marked her so after I started the group.

As far as telling me to the left or right of something.

That to me doesn’t compute.

Screen reader users don’t see things that way.

But.

I’ll go back and look later.

I used it once before I’m just not seeing it now.

Very frustrated because it seems like something has changed since I began this list.

?Yes, but if you use more than one email address Groups.io will only recognize as owner the one you were logged in with when you created the group. Unless you went into your Groups.io account and changed your email address - then ownership goes with the new one.

I only have one moderator and I marked her so after I started the group.

?Oh, my apologies. I thought they had a means to convey positional information. ?I don't know how to describe it then. I believe there are other GMF members, both sighted and not, who are familiar with screen-reader interaction with Groups.io, maybe one of them will chime in.

Very frustrated because it seems like something has changed since I began this list.

?Those page navigation buttons haven't changed in quite a long time now. The only thing I can think of would be if you logged in using a different email address.

I think, I have found what needs done.

I just haven’t exactly figured out how or I should say where to go and fix it.

I think what is happening is that she is subscribed to the list via one address and replying with another.

I’m going to get to the bottom of this issue.

Right now though I’m consumed with the workmen swarming all over the street and into my yard fixing a major water break.

UG?

As to the address I began with, it is the address I am using now.

Thanks for all your help.

And.

No worries about positions. I’ll figure it all.

I hope?

There have to be people like me who don’t know all they know?

I hope.

?find the administrative pages at that time.
You will be in the Settings part of the Admin section if you can go to:
/g/<GroupName>/settings (replace <GroupName> with your group's name)

Thanks very much.
I'm putting these pieces together.
I am very grateful to all.

Find the link at the top in the nav bar labeled ?I think “admin” Activate that and it will expand, or should.?Then you will find the options you need
