I found this message in the beta | main list.? is this still current?? I have a couple of list owners giving conflicting instructions on taking messages private or off-line.

11/29/17 ? FYI, we are now bouncing any messages with a subject line that starts with 'Private:'. (We add the word Private: when someone does a private reply on the website, and I was seeing instances of people emailing messages with that Subject as well, mistakenly thinking it would behave similarly). ? Thanks,? A couple of my lists were having trouble posting Private messages, was hoping for an easy explanation.

That's not the way to post a private message, though. They need to click the "private" button at the bottom right. I think it's unfortunate that messages starting with the word "private" are no longer bouncing. I actually think they should still bounce.

That only works if the list owner selects "Group and Sender" for replies.?
In this case the list owner had re-selected "Groups" which eliminated the "Private" reply option.
And then asked for Private messages to be taken off-list. counter-productive.

You can select Group for replies and still have the Private option as long as you don't check the Remove Other Reply Options box.
