Updating attachments in Topics? #wikispaces

Yesterday I created a new topic in our group which included a pdf discussion document as an attachment and this evening I've updated the master document and created a new pdf. I thought I could just delete the original attachment, which edit topic allows, and replace it with the new one however it appears that adding an attachment is only available at the point of creating a new message not when editing and having deleted the old one there's no way back, so I've resorted to creating another new topic is this by design??

Apologies if there is a previous thread but I couldn't see one when searching.

Thanks
Glen

You could make a suggestion on beta that editing a message allows the adding of attachments. As a workaround, you could upload the new file to your Files section and include a link to it in the edited message.

No, I think Mark just forgot (see his reply in that topic). Maybe if you add a "bump" to the topic he'll find the corresponding round tuit.

I was feeling good and on a roll when I managed to create the link to the pdf uploaded in the files section, but alas I'll show my ignorance again :-) what does bump a topic mean and how do it?

Many thanks
Glen

¡®Bump¡¯ means ¡®reply to it¡¯ so that it comes to people¡¯s attention again. ?
