I have two more questions concerning subscription proceedings:

First: After a would be member has signed up she/he qutomatically gets the questionnaire via member notice. This works fine now. But the questionnaire has (spam) in front of the subject, the header looking like this:

So, how can I avoid this spam thing?

Second: As owner of the group I now get the following message:

I then clicked on”view the pending member”, then clicked on the check box next to the pending and chose “approve”. I get the message:

Then looking again in the group to see what happened the member has a notice next to the email adress NC (not confirmed).

Please tell me what I am doing wrong. Must I confirm twice??

at what step of the procedure does the pending member get the questionnaire (members notice)? Is it the moment whe she/he signs up?

Second:? The NC next to the member name means they haven't confirmed that email address with the Groups.io site.? Once they click on the link in the email that was sent to confirm it, the NC will go away.? If their status doesn't change in a few days, you have the option at the bottom of their member detail page to Send Confirmation Email again, in case it got 'lost'.? Each person only has to confirm once per email address for the entire site, so this will only happen if they've never used Groups.io before.

The Pending Member notice should be sent as soon as they try to join your group, though there have been reports of them being delayed, going to the spam folder, or getting lost.? The Email Confirmation email should be sent as soon as they enter an email address that the site doesn't recognize as a current user.

Because the PM notice is so erratic in my experience, I’m thinking of manually sending it out.

in my YG I sent it out manually for years. Was actually no problem but a bit fiddly. Before 2014 Yahoo had a ready made feature that sent a custumized notice as soon as the PM tried to join which I found quite comfortable. ?

So I try the member notice for a while and see how reliable it is.
