Was my invitation accepted?
Al Rovner
I'm new at this, sorry to bug the whole group. I submitted an invitation per the instructions to transfer a Yahoo group and have not heard anything back or seen any new members from groups.io. This was 3 days ago. Does it take this long or am I missing something?
Specifically I asked for the wvdxc group to be transferred from Yahoo to groups.io. Thanks for any help or pointers, Al Rovner |

Hi Frances, yes I've seen the instructions. I've completed steps 0-2 of the Yahoo transfer 3 days ago. I haven't seen any new member from groups.io attempt to join my Yahoo group. Was my invitation received for the wvdxc@yahoogroups account?
Thank you, Al Rovner On 3/1/2018 6:16 PM, Frances wrote: Hi [excess quote trimmed by moderator] |
At last report, the waiting list was about a week due to the large number of transfers requested recently.

When an invitation is accepted they become members, you won't see any "attempt" (pending member request).? ?So... check your member list, it might have already been accepted... and you can proceed with the rest of the transfer steps :)

Al,
I've completed steps 0-2 of the Yahoo transfer 3 days ago.Including using the green Start New Transfer button and the filling in the form? That's the backup in case the invitation isn't received. I haven't seen any new member from groups.io attempt to join my YahooIn my recent transfer of some groups the transfer agent joined the groups relatively promptly, within hours or a day. But the procedure has changed (again) since then - when I didn't one didn't send an invite, just filled in the form. Was my invitation received ...?Note that GMF is a user-to-user group - none of us have that kind of inside information. You'll know when the new member appears. If you have your Y!Group set to send you notices of new members that will help. The good news is that Mark has been working down the backlog, my most recent transfers took between three and five days. The online instructions at /yahootransfer?says that the transfer agent will do the transfer "within one business day." If this was changed to something more accurate it might help with the unrealistic expectations.

You should also receive an email message, if you have it set up that way which I think is the default, that you have a new member. I had invited an individual using the invite and I think I got one.
