Clickable links?
Hi
I *think* this is a change in behaviour. If a moderated group member sends a message without the prefix, it looks clickable in my email when I reply to Groups.io to moderate the message, but it becomes unclickable on the group site. And depending on your email settings, it isn¡¯t clickable in the emailed message too. (I use Apple Mail.) When I received the group member¡¯s email for approval, I checked all the links from my email, and the links definitely were clickable! (My email program deals with it.) See attached test. What you see is one that is clickable because I put in the prefix. One that isn¡¯t - just www.google.ca |
Frances,
I *think* this is a change in behaviour. If a moderated group memberWhen looking at the "Message approval needed" are you looking at the body of the notice, which includes a plain-text rendition of the message, or at the full message attachment that follows (in some interfaces you can see the attachment inline). If you're looking at the plain-text in the notice that would explain why you see both links as "linkified" - that was done by your email interface. but it becomes unclickable on the group site. And depending on yourIf the message was HTML formatted then whether it appears as clickable or not would be up to the sender's email interface. Some auto-linkify URLs, some don't, and those that do may have limits on the syntax they recognize - it might not recognize URLs that lack the protocol (http:) part. Only if the message were plain text would it be up to Groups.io to decide whether to linkify the URLs when displayed in the group's Messages.
