Wiki Search? #notworking

Anyone having trouble with the search function in the Wiki? We're getting blank returns most of the time, regardless of the search term. Once in a while a partial return (incomplete) pops back.

Only noticed it earlier today and still problematic.

Those who may have visited *anything* in the groups.io domain at any time during today's server maintenance will probably have weird stuff in their browser cache. Try clearing the cache and/or hitting your refresh button.

At this time McAfee is NOT reporting groups.io as a phishing site.

Cleared cache. Updated Avast to ensure very latest definitions. Refreshed . Got the same warning from Avast.

Sat 2/24 10am:? We were also encountering an issue whereby every message had to be approved (not the group setting - it's unmoderated posts). Logging out, clearing cache et al and logging back in *looks* to have rectified that.
Wiki Search is still not working. Is anyone else experiencing this (I hope, and you know what I mean)?

Ok, I'm back to my original question about searching the wiki - and yes, everything else is back in order. Even though I was not impacted with the bogus errors, I have still logged out, closed and cleared the cache et al, and run system maintenance on the drive. I use Firefox, but also tried in Edge.
The Groups.io Status page shows it as "operational" but -

Crazy as it sounds, Search seems to be stuck on "A". Search a term beginning with "a" and yes, it works. Move to "b" - nada and right on down the alphabet.

Can anyone get this to repeat (I hope)?

I'm not having that issue. Seaching GMF's wiki returns expected results for words like "moderate" & etc.

But you say "beginning with" and I wonder if that's the problem. Search in Wiki does suffer from the whole-word match problem: a search for "moderat" won't turn up moderate, moderator, nor moderation.

Same as message search and most other searches on Groups.io (but thankfully not Members).

I am entering full words, Shal... like "poll", "calendar", file"...
Had been fine - now I'm clueless.
Thanks,
Ginny

Are you typing your search terms or copying and pasting them? If you have a space character before or after the search term it can cause problems. That is most likely to occur when copying and pasting. Not nearly so likely with typing.

HTH!

Thanks, Bill, but that¡¯s not an issue. No copy/paste, clean new entry, no dummy blanks (intended or otherwise). I¡¯ve sent a support request to Mark. It¡¯s only this one particular group (thanks to you guys replying to my question). I own other groups and they are having no problems.?

It does seem to have started, we think, around the outage the other day (can¡¯t sweat to it but had no prior complaints). Everything else in this particular wiki is working: links, creating, editing, deleting. Tried creating a new page, that didn¡¯t return either. Tried adding an edit to existing page, nada.

I¡¯ve logged out, closed programs, cleared all temp cache files, cookies, powered down, started over - and on multiple devices. Can¡¯t think of anything else to try (even as quirkycrazy as it may seem).?

Just plain stumped (and frustrated).
