Hey, I am new and just set up a group. How long does it take (on average) to get a new group approved?
 

Judging from other messages in the last two hours ( see Norm's post) the Queue is backlogged over 8 days due to mass exodus of Yahoo.

[mod note: approval is a separate queue from transfer, and ought to go much more quickly. Still, it is a holiday weekend in the U.S.]
 

Are you starting a new group or transferring from YahooGroups?
If it is just setting up a new group, in my experience, it is immediate.
You might want to review the Help sections for help with preferences / settings.

The group is created immediately but you can't start inviting people, etc., until it's been approved. I think that usually takes a day or less.

My group was approved in about 10 minutes so unless there is some other issue you should get it soon.
