Bouncing workaround.

I manage the group for my Church.?
Many members (including older ones) are tech novices so it is difficult for them to follow the normal procedure to clear a bounce.
Folks are approaching me to complain they are not getting list messages and want to know "can't you just fix it?"
If I know that a bouncing address is clear (I can send email to it with no problem), can I work around by unsubscribing the member, then doing a direct add?

I know this is not the "approved" method, but I don't see anything forbidding it either. Opinions?

Thanks in advance,
Tom

You can proactively send them another bounce probe. That's all.

/helpcenter/ownersmanual/1/managing-members/checking-for-bouncing-members?

If they don't receive the message and click on the link therein, they will remain in bouncing status.

That won't work. Bouncing is an account status, not subscription status.
