Poll Editing

 

A member who just created a poll is unable to edit the poll, even though there have been no responses to the poll and it is not closed. He was permitted to delete the poll. He is using the same email address login when creating and trying to edit the poll. Why can't he edit the poll?

I just did it and had no problem after I adjusted a setting.? I had changed the hashtag #poll-notice so that only mods could use it.? Once I removed that, I was able to create and edit a poll using my member account.? I'd be sure he's following the instructions correctly.

He is following the poll editing instructions.

However, I just realized I have disabled editing members' messages in that Group. Will that also disable editing polls?

After enabling editing of *messages* by Group members, it was then possible for members to edit polls. Apparently prohibiting editing of messages also prohibits editing of polls, though that is surely not obvious. I'm not sure it is "right" either.

You probably missed the note on the editing polls page:
"Note: Because polls are a form of group messages, ..."
