Shal, Actually 2 are sent, 1 with the 'prefix' "Upcoming Event:, and 1 without. Is the 'ghost' one of them? Which one? The 'prefix' "Upcoming Event: " is still ridiculous and essentially meaningless.

Nivad, That will likely make the group owners happier, as then a Reply All from a member's email interface won't spray the reply across all the groups as well. But it won't help with the Gmail hiding
