Beate -- The Word document you attached shows your home page, not your signature.

Go to your group and click Subscription on the left-side menu bar. The resulting page should look something like this:



Remove everything from the Signature block, scroll down, and click the blue Save button. Then try to reply to a message online and tell us if it works now.

If it does, you can [maybe] begin to add things back to your Signature. If not, there must be some other factor involved.

Have you changed browsers/devices recently? Maybe an automatic software update caused this.

<<no, yesterday everything worked perfectly - no device change.
Browser change I tried to try if it could be that, but even with the change the problem remains.
It is also only in my group where I am ownerin. In groups where I am a member like here in the GMF I don't have this problem.

Got it figured out. The other day I got 'cute' and inserted an image in the SIGNATURE area.? It was an image of our Roadtrek RV with my Name, State and YR/make of the RV below the image.
It did not show always when looking at my settings, but it DID show in any reply.?
Then I ran into the problem of not having the place to type any reply.

I just removed the image from my signature as that was the latest change that I could think of doing.

This seems to have fixed my problem.

May not be the case, but no name that contains the word freecycle is allowed.? Mark implemented this after a formal complaint from the Freecycle folks, but hasn't made it retroactive (yet?).

Jacki -- It would help to know what name you're trying to use. Only UTF-8 characters are allowed, with no underscores or whitespace, and the name cannot exceed 34 characters.

Try typing the new name in the "Group Email Address" box using your keyboard. Do not paste it.

Are you changing the name in all the required places?

change the Group Title and Email Address fields as desired
In the Message Formatting panel, update the Message Footer and Subject Tag fields to reflect the new name.
Click the?Update Group?button at the bottom of the page.

I am on an iPad, Safari Brower and on a Mac with Safari and Chrome browsers.?

If I resize the browser window smaller, the columns are packed tightly together with the badge somewhat cut off by the column on the right of the badge.?

If I resize the browser window larger, there is more space between the columns.?

This depends a lot on the culture of the group. Believe you me, we have plenty of long discussions in my groups and people only go to the website for files and the like.

It's not a matter of better or worse, it's about understand what the community we serve wants and is willing to use. Dragging my users into web forum posting would be extremely counterproductive and I can imagine groups for which the same is true of email.

Example, my group is about Compact Tractors.? How do I the community at this time of the interact.? Easy, we talk about a common device to really help in starting the engines in cold weather.? To us, it's a thermostart device.? In the discussions, I posted what the device is, references to the FILES section on it's uses and benefits for the engine, cold starting and proper care.? About 1/2 the people didn't even know the device was there.? About 30 messages latter, we did a rabbit trail to oil pan heaters, radiator coolant heaters and even infrared heaters to keep the tractors pre-heated an hour before use.

So, have your content on the WEBSITE here on GroupsIO.? OR, if you are a NEWER group, sign up with BOX Storage to store FILES and PHOTOS for FREE.? Then make a LOCKED TOPIC that is PINNED at the top of the messages with LINKS to the BOX Storage to refer your group community to review.?

For us, we have a TRACTOR OF THE MONTH to share with the community.? In our groups, allow a person to create topics of interaction.?

Back on Yahoo Groups, our group was on life-support.? At best, 8 posts a month near the end.? As we migrated over to GroupsIO, getting the community stirred up in a positive and encouraging way has put posting well over 100+ per month.? This in turn has garnished added members as well.? The 5 compact tractor forums out there are loosing members to participate, it takes a person to keep things interactively going.

This is how I'm getting people to the GroupsIO website as a forum vs. the tag-u-r-it emails.

What a mess and a waste of screen real estate.? Was this part of a planned change I missed?

For what it's worth I do not see this format.? Instead the badges truncate.? I'm using Firefox 84.0.1 under Linux Mint if that helps.
