What on earth is the problem, in that case? Just tell her to invite you to the group. After you accept, she can make you an owner again.

??? I would like to ask a question while you are on this subject.
If you are the original owner who started a group and you appoint another owner can the other owner remove you from owner status or are
there safe guards in place to keep this from happening?
Nothing has happened but I was just wondering.

I don't know then.
Perhaps you're trying to log in using a different email address than the one that owns the group? See my recent reply to Jackiep about that.

Most likely they are logging in to Groups.io's site with an email address different from the one listed in your group's Members list.
Ask them to click on or hover over their name in the upper right corner of a Groups.io page. That will reveal the email address they used to sign in:

If that's different then tell them that each email address is its own account and must have its own subscription. The easy solution would be for them to click Logout and then log back in using the email address that is in your group's Members list. Or, if they don't want to use that address, log in to it anyway and they may be able to use the Account page to change it too their preferred address (but only if that other address has no subscriptions of its own).

Yes.? However now the co-owner has made me a member. She said she also made me owner again, however that is not working either than I can tell. I am a member but not owner.? This io group thing doesn't appear to be a good viable alternative to Yahoo.? dash

That should have been your first action so that the three-day limit on that link does not expire.

And what message did your co - owner receive from Groups.io explaining your departure?

Do I sense something going on for which Groups.io cannot conceivably be held responsible?

You've probably already seen several suggestions as to what might have caused this, but you are probably in a better position to actually find out what did happen. After you have resumed your subscription, go into Administration / Activities to see what the activity logs have to say.

This was not a spam-type removal. Those explicitly say so.

To be fair we don't know what they say now; the messages were changed 21/22 March. The quoted message certainly doesn't match the old version, and I hope against hope that it isn't the new version. (As an aside I am still awaiting a copy of that to put in the wiki.)

At the same time the suggestion that you unsubscribed yourself may not be true; see my previous post about the precise wording: You have been unsubscribed... Not the correct wording if someone unsubscribes themself.

Dash; have you contacted your co - owner; he / she should have received a message as well; what did that say?

If the words ¡®marked a message as spam¡¯ were not there, it was not a spam removal. And there is no canned ¡®you have been removed¡¯ notification for when a mod removes you. Since ¡®three days¡¯ was in the message it¡¯s clear that you removed yourself.

Re: List of participation members? #howtoguide #membership

There's not a direct way.? One option would be to go to Admin > Activity, then select the Message Activity button, choose "Accepted message" from the drop down to the right of Actions, and Search (leave the left box empty, with the gray Search showing.)? That should give a list of all messages that were accepted for posting.? It could take awhile to sort through them if there have been many.? There's not yet a way to download the activity log, though it's been requested.? Then you could use a spreadsheet to do the searching.

List of participation members? #howtoguide #membership

Is it possible to extract a list of members who have posted since we transferred from Yahoo Groups??I would like to remove them from the old Yahoo Groups.
I have exported the member list to Excel but I don't see a way to isolate members who have posted since the transfer.

Very low priority! Thanks for any hints!

Re: [email protected] not joining

At one time, it was up to 3 weeks.? The last word from Mark was that he was caught up, so I'd guess no more than 2-3 days, unless there's been another rush.
