Re: Settings to change the order of files and databases
When I was on Y the databases acted the same as they do on Group.io for me. After setting the way I wanted information sorted, once I closed the dbase and opened it again, it defaulted back to what it

Re: I am ALONE HELP! [after transfer from YahooGroups]

Re: can I make a group "email only"?

Re: can I make a group "email only"?
I did that back in the day... with the result that my ISP was blocked as spam by a variety of big names, even though the list I sent to was not all that large - around 50 members. That was about 10

Re: can I make a group "email only"?
I agree with Toby unless your volunteer list is so large that your mail service blocks it as spam. Then a service such as MailChimp would be advisable. I set up a Gmail account for notices to members

Re: A whole week?
Thanks Sharon! I'm not sure why people want to stay. Some people just don't like change and are scared maybe that they won't be able to navigate or something. Yesterday was very silent but today I am

Jim; are they "unsubscribing" or are they being deleted because a message was marked as spam? Check the wording of the Notifications that you receive each time. See the wiki section of this group for

Re: can I make a group "email only"?
My question is - why use groups.io at all?? Groups.io is for group collaboration and discussion.? If the only thing members do is receive an email from time to time, why not just use a group /

Re: Are all group members automatically added to updates group? #addmembers
I don't want my subscribers bothered with GIO system details either. In practice, it has not been a problem. There is a hashtag option called "No Email." I suspect Mark has that enabled for the

Re: A whole week?
Why do you think they want to stay? I wouldn¡¯t send anything else to the old list. It may be confusing people. They have all been transferred, right? Have they unsubscribed? My lists always go

Re: Are all group members automatically added to updates group? #addmembers
Having all members as web-only readers is probably fine. But I see "Single" as the delivery option. If no one ever gets an email, that's fine. If they are interested in updates, they can go and look.
