If I read Yahoo's statement correctly, from next Monday nobody will be able to post online on Yahoogroups, nothing new will appear in the archives, but posting via email continues as normal. This means that for those groups currently in the transfer process only Yahoogroups messages posted before October 28th will be transferred. Also, for groups who's transfer process has reached the 'export from Yahoo' stage but waiting to be transferred to groups.io similarly all new messages posted to Yahoogroups will not be transferred. Many groups will be in a sort of limbo stage. Have I read this correctly? Of course what actually happens on Monday with Yahoo is anybody's guess.

Incompatible Payment Status
I anticipated something might go wrong but this is ridiculous!
Chase Bank says the transaction was approved and the Groups.io upgrade page says "Card Declined"! CB says it's not our problem, call the merchant! Yeah, right! Now what do I do I went to the upgrade page, chose the $220 option and entered my card info. Card declined! Tried again. Same thing. Called CB fraud dept (as this is a common problem with CB and web purchases). While online to CB, cleared cache, restarted Groups.io session & tried third time. CB says transaction authorized but no amount specified. Groups.io page says "CARD DECLINED" !!! CB says I cannot cancel, there is no time limit for Groups.io to submit an amount and Groups.io says "NO REFUNDS"! Since it is Saturday, nothing will be posted to my CB account until Monday. And time is running out. What in hell do I do now ??? Art Namaste', Art |
