Re: #reverification Can a Member Still Reverify?
#reverification
Doesn't RS mean they have successfully reverified? RI is the flag that means they still need to do so.

Re: Can Members view their own Activity
It is not at each individual group, e.g. Group Managers Forum which is where I intuitively looked for it (for a Member to see their Activity in a specific group) /g/GroupManagersForum It is ONLY at:? /activity which is only found at: /groups Here a Member's Activity in all their Groups are mixed together, without the ability to sort/filter by Group. -Michael On Apr 24, 2024, at 4:23 AM, Bruce Bowman <bowman46118@...> wrote: |

Jack, I may be incorrect about this, but regular members cannot move photos from the email attachments file to their/the group's photo album(s). That can only be done by the owner.?
As Duane stated, all of us who routinely work with groups that maintain a significant photo presence would love to be able to do bulk removal of photos. Maybe someday...As for now, I am looking forward to the imminent unveiling of the new IO interface/portal design. Let's see what that has to offer. -- Pat P |

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýOh yeah, that's right. So you would have to disable that first, and then re-enable it after you remove them.

There is a setting for allowing members to edit their own messages.

Can Members view their own Activity
Is there a way for Member to view their own Activity?
Some Members post 'on the fly' only to delete and repost the same, but modified message(s). It might be useful if they could view their Activity when asking Members to instead proofread their messages before posting, deleting, and re-posting, etc. Thanks, Michael |

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýTo the best of my knowledge, a member does not receive a notification unless you send one out yourself. That they have been removed. Of course, it will become quite obvious, if they check your homepage/their email. And they noticed that they're not getting mail from your group.

Can I remove a member with out the member knowing?
Hello friends...
Between my old Yahoo forum and then the moved here to Group IO, I have only had to remove two people in the last 12 or more years.? I moderate a? technical forum and folks are great. 99.9% of the time people are respectful and polite.? I am very pleased. But now a troublemaker has showed up and I wish to remove that person.? Can I remove that person with out that person receiving email from my forum showing that the person has been removed? Many thanks, Jack |
How to globally remove photos/files from messages
Hello friends...
On the forum I moderate, I have set up an area for files and another for photos.? I encourage members to put photo in the photo folders and files in the file folders as well as add notes and information. However, I do allow people to attach photos and files to emails set to the forum, with the idea that they, at some point, would move them to the photo and file area. For the most part, that never happens. I am trying to keep a handle on how much data my forum takes up.? I have a massive amount of photos and such that have been attaches to messages to the forum.? I need to delete them. Is a way possible for me to globally delete all the photos/files attached to messages in one shot?? The amount of photos has gotten so huge that doing this one photo at a time is driving me crazy because I have so many. Is it possible to globally remove all the photos that are sent with messages to the forum in one command?? And if so, can someone spell that out to me? If anyone from Group IO is here, maybe you can add a command like that if it is not available? Many thanks, Jack Moderator, Auricon Optical Sound Users group |
