I assume you have ?Allow Attachments ticked in Admin, Settings, Message Formatting. There is also a query about stripping out HTML messages.

If you simply want all members to get the post with the attachment, approving it will send the post with the attachment to all members. You might want to create a hashtag for it before you approve it.

Is the questionnaire an attachment? If yes, what format?

Oddly, when I click on View/Reply Online, it doesn't create a draft.

I am using Mac OS 10.15.1
Mail 13.0
(My mail is from our own domain name, not from Gmail, Yahoo, etc.)
Safari 13.0.3
I tried it with Firefox too. 71.0
All messages with "all messages"
And in several groups, including Beta in Daily Summary.

Apparently you didn't bother reading the link that Shal posted earlier.? It is an asked for feature:
"Alas, it was suggested as a feature, and implemented as such. So it isn't seen (by the developer) as a bug to be fixed.

I support what you're doing, but only in the context of clicking the View/Reply Online button in a message opening the editor. I can't tell you how many times I've accidentally browsed away from a half-written message, and the resulting draft has saved my rear end.

BTW, simply log out, and all your drafts will go away.

Re: Transfer phpBB Forum to Groups.io?

Mike, maybe this is simplistic, but does PHPBB have the following two attributes?
--Can accept postings via email
--Can accept email subscriptions

If so, what happens if you subscribe each to the other's group?

I see two drawbacks:
--People who subscribe to both would see duplicate posts
--What about the infinite loop case? A new post to one is forwarded to the other, back to the first, back to the second, back to the first..ad infinitum.

Probably not a good idea.

1) Why would the button be labeled View/Reply if it is only intended for replying? Why not two separate functions? Other websites dont automaitically create draft messages. It is clearly an undesirable and wasteful programming error.
2) It is many times easier to read a thread online rather than sift through several mail digests. Especially when the thread is old and long.
3) Your last sentence is exactly what I am talking about.

Your logic is circular. I am getting dizzy...

Possibly you are missing the intent of the option and how to use it. It is intended that this option be used IF you do want to reply online.

If you only want to view the digest, what is wrong with doing this in your email client??Presumably, you may want to do more than just view the digest, in which case if you don't want the drafts accumulating, then you should exit by using the DISCARD option at the bottom of the Reply window and not just close the browser page.

Other than just once to view what an emailed digest looked like, I do all of my viewing online. Even so, I also found out (the hard way) that if you start a Reply and exit the page without closing the Reply window, that a draft is left behind.

I always thought the little download arrow on the thumbnail images was a very handy and easy way to download images from Yahoo groups. It didn't take me very long at all to grab those pictures I thought were worth saving from my groups.

That only happens for the spam case.? It doesn't apply when the 'error' is 4xx (421 in this case.)? A 4xx is a soft error from the service, so GIO keeps trying, at intervals, to send those emails.? Spam usually returns a 5xx code.

Re: Not receiving any emails from groups.io

Thomas,

On the day that GMX blocked the messages and notified Groups.io, you should have received an email from Groups.io. It would have explained that they had received a "suspected SPAM" message from GMX and would cease mailing to you. There was a link in that message for restarting message delivery.

You may not hare realized that you needed to click the link.

Bill -- Are you having difficulty downloading photos from Yahoo? Uploading them to groups.io? Moving them from one folder to another?

Are they JPEGs, GIFs, BMP, TIFF, or some other format?

"Can't copy photos" doesn't really tell us what the problem is.

Dear Lena,

we used your programm to read in the old mails delivered by the download

mbox) but are not delivered into the new groups mail archive but as
sent-date you get the upload date (of today, for instances). Now we have
the question if there is any possibility to enter the date of the
original mail into the uploaded old mails?
My program transmits original Date, but groups.io ignores it. I added an option (turned on by default) to insert original Date into beginning of message body.

I also fixed a bug (a deleted message caused next messages in a mbox file to be skipped).
