You need to delete from Message display, not Topic display if you just want to delete or edit one message. A suggestion - test it by editing rather than deleting. Then delete after you feel

Go to Admin, Members (not Directory). Find the member, click on the name or email address to open the record. You can then remove or ban the member - bottom of the page. I am not sure about the

That would make sense if you want to reply to several messages in the same thread, but since it's a digest you can just do that by email,delete the "noreply" part, and insert the right subjectline.
