The setting is "Restricted." In a restricted group, all membership requests have to be approved. Otherwise people can join without approval. It is very simple. ? -- J

If your group is Restricted, Groups.io is not admitting them into the group unless you or another moderator approves them. Your group is probably not se to Restricted. Having a Pending Subscription
