Re: Reply to group keeps including the original message
I do find this odd, purely my own observation over many years of mailing lists, having been a list owner of several under rootsweb and currently under groups.io and having been a subscriber to many

Re: Reply to group keeps including the original message
Alas, the autotrim only works on digests. The most you can do if you are the owner of the group, is to ban TOFU/top-posting and insist that members use the proper "old-fashioned" interspersing-method.

Re: Reply to group keeps including the original message
This is the usual argument, but it doesn't really hold water. One person posts a message. Five people reply to it. They may quote the original, but they don't quote each other. You've already lost 67%

Re: Reply to group keeps including the original message
Hi Emily May I ask what is the reason for not wanting any previous text of the message being replied to? Our groups all have different needs but without a little of the previous message at least the

Re: Reply to group keeps including the original message
Have at least some of the previous message can be extremely useful in providing context to what is being said.? The extra message text does not count towards your storage allocation so you don't need

Re: Reply to group keeps including the original message
Emily - To better understand your situation, I'm curious why you're editing the messages. Groups.io automatically hides most of the quoted material beyond the post being replied to. What does remain

Re: Reply to group keeps including the original message
FWIW, I like seeing the full history of the current thread up to the msg that the member is responding to. If you hate it, you can just eliminate the history for responses that you yourself create.

Re: Reply to group keeps including the original message
There is no such setting, nor is there a setting to always include it. The person replying decides; hopefully complying with any preferences mentioned in your group Guidelines. For what it's worth,

Re: Pending message stay in owner box even after they have been approved
If you mean your personal email inbox, you can delete them. BTW, I don't keep any Groups.io ( http://Groups.io ) messages unless I want to save one to think about it and respond later. I rely on the

You asked about original message being stripped from the reply. The Help says if using email, it depends on the email application you are using. If are replying to a message on a group's website, you

Is there are setting so that the original message is automatically stripped from the reply? I suspect it might be because some people's email is set up to include original messages and I wont be able

I'm pretty sure that the date shown for Bouncing accounts is the date the most recent Bounce Probe was sent by the system. I would wait at least until the badge turns Red (Bounced). At this point the

Re: link to subscribe
mailto-links are widely considered bad practice. They only work when the person is on his/her own computer, and even if they are it may activate an email-program that they are not even using.

Re: Massive Bouncing Members Conundrum
Keep in mind that bounced members still can access the website for messages if the group is private. They don't get any email but they still have that access. I don't know if it is possible to tell if
