First, the @UserName field needs to be unique across the Groups.io platform so if someone else somewhere in the world has used the name he is trying to, then he'll need to choose another. This field

I wonder whether you have customized the invitation notice. I think it helps. Go to Admin, Settings, Member Notices. Add the Invite notice. Save. Make sure it is active. Frances Help available from

Similar options have been suggested in the past.? The problem is that there's no way for the site to know that a particular address has been invited if it's not he one the invitation was sent to.?

If they accept the invitation, they will never go to NC.? NC will only be applied if they join via email or on the site.? And then, only if they've never had a Groups.io account using that email
