Re: Link checking app or software for wiki
I just tested your technique.Yes, something with the format of an URL does look like an active link, but it doesn't stay. Use the "insert link" tool in the toolbar. Frances

Re: Link checking app or software for wiki
Thanks. Interesting, I don't do all of that. Groups.io turns my text - any text beginning with https etc- into a link if I just hit 'enter'. This successfully created the link, whether or not it is

Re: Link checking app or software for wiki
No, no problem at all. Just to make sure that we are talking about the same process, here's how I do it. I type the name of the link or page, then select that. Click on the little "add url" icon -

Re: Link checking app or software for wiki
Frances, I was just wondering: have you had any trouble when a link is the last line in a wiki page? In my group, links that happen to be the last line in a wiki page have been reverting to plain text

Link checking app or software for wiki
Hi, In our travel group, we have a links library in the wiki. I just clicked through all the links to ensure that they were accurate. It would be great if there was link checking software or the

Re: some digests going into 'promotions'
Of course, the bigger issue is that this is a miscategorizaton. The only other things in gmails promotions category are outright advertisements. Is there anything that could be don't on the groups.io

Re: some digests going into 'promotions'
Thanks. Unfortunately, using the tabs now seems to be the default. They're relatively new and you evidently have to opt out rather than opt in. I suppose the solution is to notify group members of

It looks like that would be a setting in gmail. I have all the tabs turned off and don't see it. https://support.google.com/mail/answer/3055016?hl=en Duane

I'm not sure whether anything can be done about this, or whether it's a subject for beta that Mark could do anything about: recently, the digests for several of the groups I'm in, including my own

Re: valid email address
Terry, Yes and no. It is syntactically valid (as required for it to be used in a From field) but messages sent to that address will go nowhere. That is, if you send a message to that address groups.io

Louise, Possibly. I'm at a loss to imagine how you might unknowingly request one, but maybe if you were trying to sign in or join a group at the time. It could be an innocent mistake, such as someone

I would contact [email protected] immediately. It's possible someone is trying to hack your account. Or there's a bug. Either way, I would report it. J knitlou@...> wrote:

Frances, Yup. Managing multiple email addresses is one of the weak spots in Groups.io. That's on the radar, but not promised on any schedule.
