What Frances is saying is that she might have two accounts but only one set as moderator. If she logs in with a non-moderator account that is also a member of this same group, she won't be able to so

Curt, This can also be a problem with Groups.io's confirmation requests, to +subscribe as well as the other email commands. I've suggested on beta that Groups.io use modern authentication techniques
