Cyndi, Both. It is the member's email service saying that Groups.io's outbound email server (66.175.222.12) is on the service's blacklist. That service is refusing to deliver messages to that member's

I am the owner of a group and am just getting my feet wet. On the left menu right next to the admin dropdown is a number "-2". What the heck is this and how do I respond to clear it?

You don't have to do anything. If you have an active Pending Subscription notice in a Restricted group, and someone sends an email or clicks on a link to join, the message is sent out automatically.
