Ken, A flame war is one circumstance in which you might consider temporarily checking the Moderated box in the Spam Control section of the group's settings page. That way you can reject messages that

On my own groups I typically respond to situations as the "list janitor". When I post as myself, I use my name to close the post. Eventually I suspect you'll find that what you do is watch the traffic

Re: A few general questions
IIRC one of Groups.io's selling points (along with "no advertising") was (is?) "no tracking", although I have to admit I cannot find anywhere at the moment that specfically says either. On that basis

Re: Resizing Images (was: How much time does it take to manage a group?)
That's fine but of no help when other members decide to upload photos. It's much better to get the "uploading" resizing setting right and that will keep everybody's photos to a sensible size. Chris

There's also the free Irfanview that lets you resize by percentage, dpi, or pixels. https://www.irfanview.com/ Simple, easy to figure out and use, and small in size. Nothing too fancy--it's not a

Re: Resizing Images (was: How much time does it take to manage a group?)
Ken, A faster way to resize is to open the image in paint, pick RESIZE, key in 800 for the pixel width and then a SAVE-AS.? This will usually drop the image size down below half the original size.?
