Same in io groups. I get an email to tell me "Subscription Approval Needed". I can simply reply to that email to approve or go to the group and do it manually on the web. Barbara

A small part of me wants to agree with you, but given that Yahoo was funded by (mainly annoying) advertisements and Groups.io is an ad - free zone the charge does not seem inherently unreasonable.
