Re: Setting defaults for user profiles?
Patti, For their group subscription yes, but not for their login profile. I think that should happen automatically. If the user hasn't set a timezone (e.g. first login) the site attempts to determine

Setting defaults for user profiles?
Is it possible to set default values for a new user profile? For example our group is local, I would like to have their time zone default to Eastern time so that the calendar shows the correct times.

Re: In-line quoting versus iPhones and other email interfaces
J, I do remember. If you find that there's a solution that may benefit everyone using the iPhone's native mail application. Intriguing. But absent an iPhone I don't have a way to see what's different

Re: In-line quoting versus iPhones and other email interfaces
Of course they are. It's whether you're reading it in the iPhone's mail app. Not where it came from. I have to go there today anyway, as it happens, for other reasons. I can ask. However, remember

Re: Proposal for a change of wording in the statistics message.
Alberto, I agree, it would be. If you haven't already, you should reply to Mark about that. But I'll bet he's already on it, just from your question. For what it is worth, Mark isn't a member of GMF,

Re: Highlighting read messages and a question on editing
Anyone reading this message on an iPhone has no idea what Shal wrote vs what the person answering wrote. A great example of the problem I reported earlier and is being discussed on beta now. J Sent

Re: Names taken ? Apparently not...
Shal, thanks for all your considerations. But now the transfer of my two groups EladSDR and EladSDR-IT is completed, so I have no more an interest in knowing who was the registrant of the two

Re: Names taken ? Apparently not...
We migrated the SoftRock40 group a couple of weeks back with 8600 members and 87000 messages and it went pretty smoothly and transferred in less than a day. -- Cecil - k5nwa

Alberto, Not unless he/she replies to you. Unlike Y!Groups, moderators and owners in Groups.io have an option to control receipt of +owner messages. Each mod or owner can elect to receive all of them,

I'm guessing now that Alberto was actually successful in creating those two groups with the dashes and doesn't realize it.? J

Alberto, I think J is right, the error message is faulty; it should tell you instead that the names contain a disallowed character. Your evidence is incomplete. Each group has the option of being in

Hi, I went to the Create Group page to check this out, and the page now says that names can't contain underscores (they were formerly allowed - my group name contains them). So it seems that this is a
